Is money the root of all evil?

There is a push in this country to stake claim on the wealth of some in order to “spread it around” to others. There’s talk of the rich needing to pay their “fair share.” There’s distorted information about how some of the wealthiest Americans obtain and shelter their income.

Some say that money is the root of all evil. Politically speaking, there’s a good share of Americans who may be starting to buy into this parasitic theory. I recently heard a fine rebuttal of this point; it was written in 1957 and can be found in the book Atlas Shrugged by Ayn Rand.

As I listened to it, I found myself applauding because it is the best articulated and intelligent response I have ever heard on the subject.
